Position Title: Painters (NOC 7294)

Education: Completion of Secondary school
Wages: $24/Hourly
Hours: 32 to 40 per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Language: must be able to speak, read and write English effectively.
Major Work Area: Commercial buildings and Stratas, Repainting, Maintenance, Fire damage, Historical Restoration, Renovation, Wallcoverings
Job Duties:
Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
Repair cracks and holes
Mix paint to desired colour and texture
Clean cut lines, apply paint by brush or roller
Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
Ladder work, lifts and Heights
Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
Job Requirements:
Working with others, pay attention to details, must not afraid of heights
Fall arrest training, first aid an asset
Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required in residential and commercial painting.
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Institutional, Residential.
Valid driver license, vehicle, and must find own accommodations
