Opening for a Linux Administrator In Chennai
Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot / Diagnose all issues from the customers and driving satisfactory resolution of the issues.
* Handle escalations effectively, or provide necessary consults to Engineers
* Troubleshoot advanced product and configuration issues
* Ensure On-Time escalation to L3 and Engineering departments
* Ensure consistent customer satisfaction
* Document all communication with customers in the CRM
* Notify / Discuss with TL / Manager on Tickets that require assistance
* Timely handoff(Escalation) of cases that require technical or political to L3 TAC
* Plan and constantly work on upgrading tech and product expertise.
* Contribute to the knowledge base / Tech Forum
* Ensure to gain Certified Expertise (Certifications) to provide better Service
Skillsets:
* 1-2 yrs experience in technical support environment.
* Experience in networking support, DNS and DHCP products or technologies
* Expert knowledge on TCP/IP and networking protocols
* Expertise on Linux commands and internals
* Preferable with knowledge of DNS, but should have ability and desire to learn DNS (BINDS), DHCP and other product related technologies / features. (Needs to have the basic of DNS and DHCP)
* Knowledge of L2 and L3 devices is desirable
* Willingness to work on night shifts as the organization is a 24/7 support
* Excellent communication and written skills
Redhat certification would be a added advantage.
