Research Scientist - Big Data, Machine Learning, HPC - Basel, Switzerland / Stuttgart, Germany An exciting new opportunity to join a highly successful and well respected HPC company and assist in the development of machine learning and data analytics projects utilising the latest in HPC technology. This role offers a starting salary of 83,000CHF to 124,000CHF + bonus + benefits is offered. The employer have a long established reputation as the leader in their field on a global basis, their EU operation is growing significantly and this role has arisen as they expand their activities with their Stuttgart-based client (and can be fulfilled from the client's site or the employers offices in Basel, Switzerland). This role has arisen within their HPC team and will involve interacting with a variety of customers, partners and colleagues to contribute to a range of support, research and development activities focused on advanced computing disciplines such as machine learning, data analytics and big data. Applicants must have solid experience with Python and Java (and ideally Scala), and have experience of working with leading data analytics tools such as Hadoop and/or Spark alongside other Big Data stack technologies. Applicants should also have experience with Linux and parallel programming. Additional experience with or exposure to HPC solutions, machine learning and/or deep learning would also be beneficial but not essential. All applicants MUST be able to communicate in both English and German to a business-level competence. This will prove to be a fascinating role for the successful applicant, giving them the opportunity to develop software at the
