Christian Aid has worked in Myanmar for more than 30 years in partnership with civil society and faith-based organizations and supports the building of thriving and resilient communities.
The key pillars of our work in Myanmar are:
power to change institutions tackling violence and building peace equality for all. This approach addresses the connected problems of disempowered and conflict affected communities, and promotes their participation in the ongoing political and peace processes in Myanmar.
Christian Aid Myanmar has expertise in strengthening civil society, peacebuilding, community health, resilient livelihoods, and emergency preparedness and response. Conflict and gender sensitivity cuts across our programme. In Rakhine our programme focuses on working closely with local partners on humanitarian assistance and peace building. We work with local partners to meet the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable communities and advocate for the rights and aspirations of all. We pr
