About the Job:
Accion is looking for a Chief Finance and Risk Officer for its partner institution in Myanmar, Early Dawn Microfinance Company DAWN, based in Yangon. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with strong financial acumen and with previous experience in banking or Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in Myanmar or South East Asia.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Chief Finance and Risk Officer is accountable for the financial, accounting, compliance, and risk management of the Institution.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support to build and maintain effective relationships and team working in the Institution;
- Implementing the best structure, team, policies and procedures required in the Finance Department and in the Risk Department, and ensure that they are followed;
- Overseeing the strategic and rolling planning processes;
- Overseeing the organizations accounting function, including the implementation of accrual basis accounting;
- Ensuring compliance with all local accounting regulations;
- Leading the organizations risk management activities;
- Monitoring financial performance;
