Job Description

The Business Change Manager role within Information Services Division ensures our technology change projects place a focus on the people side of change. Duties span the project lifecycle from proposal through to post implementation. Key responsibilities include business change management strategy and planning, stakeholder identification, management and communication, training and business readiness assessment, education, advice and consultancy. The role works closely with IT Project Managers and business analysts as well as stakeholders at all levels across UCL, relevant to assigned projects. Within the current team, Business Change Managers are responsible for working concurrently on multiple technology focused projects, which impact our Research IT, Web, Digital Education, Administration and Infrastructure projects. Theres a wide range of opportunity to bring the benefits of business change management to UCL and the role is therefore busy, varied and with each project comes a new change challenge. An extensive understanding of business change management principles and processes is needed within this role. Successful candidates will have a range of change management skills including stakeholder analysis, change strategy and plan development, training needs analysis and training development and the development of change cascades and ownership creation. Strong communications skills are required in this role, both written and in person across all levels of seniority. Experience of working within projects is essential along with the ability to organise and priorities across projects. Success in this role requires tenacity and a pragmatic approach coupled with strategic thinking and planning skills. Location
