GBAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Technician to work within our Engineering department based at our Bersham Road site.
Within this role you will provide technical support for Students, Technical Training Officers and Lecturers by ensuring that learning materials, tools and equipment for students are maintained and prepared for workshops and classrooms.
You will assist training and lecturing staff with class demonstrations and with students working in practical situations. You will also assist in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of the workshops, tools and equipment.
Requirements
Prior experience of working within a practical setting
Experience of maintaining stock, carrying out stock audits and liaising with suppliers
Hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in an Engineering related subject however, a NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is highly desirable.
Fully conversant with workshop health and safety
Good working knowledge of IT systems including Google Drive to a basic level.
