Responsibilities
The Network Operations Manager shall:
a. Perform as the contractor lead supporting monitoring, status reporting and coordination of actions to troubleshoot and respond to incidents on the AFCENT enterprise network.
b. Lead and supervise a diverse team of technical professionals responsible for supporting the AFCENT enterprise network.
c. Perform as the contractor technical lead for the management of network performance and end-to-end service quality for the Network infrastructure. Review and analyze overall end-to-end network performance in order to maintain an acceptable level of network quality of service and develop and implement recommendations rapidly when quality of service falls below acceptable thresholds.
d. Aid in the assessment and selection of the network performance and management tools/systems for existing and new network technologies and services.
e. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to respond to unplanned service/network interruptions and outages.
f. Identify trends that may lead to service or network disruption and recommend actions to mitigate impact.
g. Review technical project documentation for final draft coordination and subsequent release. Includes assisting personnel with project documentation and web site development as needed.
h. Collaborate with government stakeholders, teammates and other contractors to meet all mission requirements efficiently and effectively.
